Las Vegas — Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. swept the tire category with two Mickey Thompson brand products and one Cooper brand tire at the 2021 SEMA show for the best new product award.
Cooper's Mickey Thompson Baja Legend EXP super-terrain tires were named the best new product, and its ET Street Front drag racing tires and Cooper Discoverer Snow Claw winter tires were runner-up.
According to the Professional Equipment Marketing Association (SEMA), which sponsored the competition during the SEMA show, these awards will be awarded to the most “innovative and cutting-edge” automotive aftermarket products that will be consumed in 2022.

In the wheel and related product category, Litespeed Racing was named the winner for its Carbon One integral carbon fiber wheels. Litespeed Racing is a wheel manufacturer in Westminster, California, specializing in carbon fiber wheels.
The runner-up is: Guniwheel Inc.'s GuniSpare system, which includes a space-saving spare tire with a universal bolt pattern; and Warn Industries Inc.'s diamond cutting wheel series for its Jeep Wrangler JK, JL and JT accessories
SEMA's annual new product award competition aims to recognize outstanding achievements in product development that introduces the automotive professional equipment market to the SEMA show. Products are divided into 16 award categories for judging, each category has a winner and two runners-up.
This year, more than 1,300 products entered 16 different display categories, and these products will be considered for participation in this year's SEMA New Product Awards. The selection of the winners is based on a variety of factors, including innovative advantages, technological achievements, quality and craftsmanship, consumer appeal and marketability.
